The One Piece of Advice I Would Give My 20-Year-Old Self | It's My Birthday

I celebrated my 30th birthday this past Sunday, one the 23rd. I have been unsure of what I wanted to post here to commemorate another year on this earth but I decided to stop thinking too hard and simplify, basically focus on the one consistent life lesson I learned in my 20s.
When I turned 20, I was mostly terrified. I had no idea where life would take me. I wasn't the kind of girl who had her whole life planned out. I knew what I wanted to achieve but honestly, many of the things that happened caught me completely off-guard. Sometimes I managed to pick myself up quite quickly but other times it took more effort.
The one lesson I learned in my 20s is to let life take its course, not to put limits on myself or timelines on my goals.
When I look at some of my peers our lives are at completely different stages. That bothered me a lot towards the end of my 20s.
I felt like life had dealt me an unfair card. But I'm slowly learning that we can't all be at the same stage in life. You might feel like you're lagging behind in your career or love life or in basic adulting but maybe God has different plans for you. He might want you to learn so many lessons before you reach your destiny.
Everything happens at the appointed time so take your time, enjoy life and it's lemons. Have a vision board. Cross off what you have achieved and set new goals. Keep learning more about yourself and about the world. Keep a gratitude journal and when you feel like you're lagging behind, read through your gratitude journal and remind yourself of all that you have achieved.
