Block Heel Ballerinas

When I swore off high heels, as I explained in this post, I told myself that the only type of heel I would give a chance were block heels. In retrospect, I think it was good that I put in that loophole when making the decision to embrace flat shoes.
These block heel ballerinas were love at first sight. Have you ever come across an item of clothing that you immediately knew what you would wear it with, and not just one outfit, but multiple ones? These shoes were that item to me. I loved the slight heel, which wasn't a kitten heel (I'm still at odds about these shoes), which proved to be both comfortable and stylish. The shoes are suede which means that with the rain, I have to keep them at home just for a little while longer so as not to ruin them in water.
For a simple outfit that I was sure would leave the shoes as the centre of attention, I paired these block heel ballerinas with some ankle-length trousers, and a lavender and peach cut-out top. Simple button earrings and a purple lip completed my outfit.

Would you wear block heel ballerinas? Do share how else you would style them, in the comments below.
