3 Bags Every Woman Should Own

So you have invested in your wardrobe basics and made sure you have the 5 basic shoes that will get you through any occasion that comes your way, what next? A handbag of course! A couple of weeks back, a friend of mine shared this video with me (you can also watch it below) and I thought, "I must write a post on this." As a fashion-lover, I often find myself buying one bag after another not because I need the bag but because I think it is awesome and at that particular moment I'm thinking, "I can't live without this bag." However, when you actually sit down and think about it, do you really need all those bags when you can make do with just three?

3 Bags Every Woman Should Own (And Really Needs)
Without further ado, below are three bags that you must own.

1. Stuctured Handbag

A structured handbag refers to one that you would carry to work, for business meetings, etc. This is your serious handbag. A neutral coloured structured handbag will work best if you wish to carry it with every possible outfit of yours.
While I have referred to your structured handbag as your serious handbag, you can use it to dress up your casual outfits as well.

2. Tote Bag
A tote bag is an every day kid of bag, one that you can carry as you run errands, to the market, when you go out with your kids, etc. Think of it as that bag that fits everything you need for a day out e.g. your water bottle, wallet, phone and charger (or power bank), tablet, snack, notebook, novel, scarf, umbrella, just to name a few.
Tote bags come in a variety of fabrics. You can opt for leather or canvas. I prefer ones that are strong enough to last years without tearing.
When it comes to styling, you can carry your tote bag with just about any outfit. It's an all-purpose bag so it should not require much styling. If you tend to carry this bag all the time, you can add a scarf tied around the handles or a handbag accessory of your choice, to create some variation.

3. Clutch Bag

Clutch bags are another wardrobe essential. They are great for those occasions when you don't need to carry too many things especially when you are heading to a function. Think weddings, church, dinners or nights out.
Clutches are available in a variety of styles, colours, fabrics and finishes. Box clutches are more structured so they tend to limit the number of things you can carry. Clutches made of softer fabrics like leather or cloth can hold more. Bejewelled or beaded clutches add more personality to your outfit.
