Wardrobe Basics: A Blazer

For a complete wardrobe, you must include a good, well-fitted blazer. The simplest, most versatile colour to own is a black blazer which can be dressed up or down depending on the occasion. But you mustn't limit yourself to black. There are a myriad of colours, prints, cuts, lengths and styles to choose from. If you want stand alone, statement blazers, go for stripes, floral prints, sequin or embellished jackets. For more work-appropriate blazers that you can pair with a wider variety of clothes from your closet without worrying about wearing too many prints, choose solid colours like shades yellow, red, blue. If you are looking to try on more neutrals you can't go wrong with whites and beige (tan or camel).
Below are some outfits that I came across that I think showcase how you can incorporate your blazer in a wide variety of outfits. Be it worn as part of a suit, as a seperate or in an effort to recreate a man's suit or dress up an otherwise casual outfit, you will notice that blazers are extremely versatile pieces.

Which of the outfits is your favourite? Would you be more adventurous and add blazers with more details (prints, colours, embellishments) to your wardrobe?
