WHAT I WORE: Floral Harem Pants

Harem pants {gift}; denim shirt {sarojini, india}; shoes {muthurwa, nairobi}; sweater {ngara market, nairobi}; handbag {borrowed and made my own};
Hi all!
It’s almost the weekend and I am super excited! I plan to relax and take a little time off to get my bearing and relax from all my week day hustling.
I was never a huge fan of anything floral. In fact, whenever I went shopping, I steered away from anything that even remotely had flowers on it. That was before I went shopping with my friend Kui who in her own stubborn way (we are both stubborn and have very different styles, it’s amazing we are such good friends) got me to start wearing not only more prints but florals too.
 She gave me these floral harem pants as a gift. This is the second time I wore them, I didn’t manage to take photos the first time. Because my lower half was going to be busy, I opted to keep the top half simple and understated in a denim shirt. I was coming down with the flu so I threw on this red sweater and a comfortable pair of Indian shoes whose name escapes me.
Come to think of it, I had once sworn I would never be caught dead in harem pants. But, nobody can change my mind about anything like Kui can!
I believe a girl needs a few friends and maybe a boyfriend who can make her come out of her comfort zone and try out new things. And who knows, maybe, like my experience with the harem pants, you will end up loving it. So this weekend, go out and try something you never have.

Happy Thursday!!
