i2s News: Botique i2s + Personal Shopper Services

As many of you know, I run an online shop botique i2s as well as have a personal shopping service. You know that one thing that makes you tick, that wakes you up at 3a.m because you can't wait to get on with it and start to work, that's my shop for me. I have no idea when this bug bit me but I know from the early days of my blog I wanted a shop of my own and now I finally have it! I am so happy. Whenever I am out picking clothes to add to the shop, styling them for photoshoots (I'm looking for a size 14/16 model by the way) or even interacting with clients and getting feedback, I feel in my element. I have come a long way since I began and I learn new things every day.

Personal Shopping Services and Personal Stylist
That being said, I have also taken up the task of helping you out, wardrobe-wise. Whether you are looking for something specific to wear for a function or need help updating your wardrobe or even for your man or baby(ies), I am here to help. Nothing is too much for me. At a small fee, I will help you discern what is best for your personal situation in life and get you the right clothes to bring out the unique you. And if you just want help learning to work with what you currently have in you wardrobe, call me up!
Fret not my friends. Style is within your reach. Who said only celebrities should have personal shoppers and stylists?

Below are just a few shots of some of the things that are available in the shop. I'm having a blast dressing up and styling the clothes. I always wanted to be a model but apart from being too short that life just isn't for me, so I decided to model for my shop instead!

Bespectacled Girl: Feeling Like A New Me

Guess what guapas! I finally got new specs! Remember how I told you that I am as blind as a bat and how looking for good frames that will hide the thickness of my lenses was an impossible task despite all the beautiful ideas I got from Penelope Garcia? Well, I got so tired of hardly being able to see that I decided to get on with it and change my specs. I know, I know, it was long overdue. But when your life depends on your glasses, you cannot joke around with just about anything. You have to go for the best.
I don't want to bore you with a long story of how I sat at the eye hospital for hours and hours, going for one test after the other and finally having to wait two whole weeks before I met my babies. It was an ordeal I don't intend on going through any time soon , but I am not complaining now that I can see better than I have in years! I will complain about the lack of good frames designed for those of us who really can't see and have thick lenses. I don't give a damn about people pointing at me and saying how thick my lenses are but it would be nice to have more variety at an affordable price. Spending 25,000 shillings on frames that baby girl will take and break is just not my cup of tea.

Can you tell how happy mama is?

How To: Wear Ankle Boots

My obsession with boots started when I was about 14 years old. I remember making a deal with my mum that should I make a certain mark in my exams she would buy me a pair of boots. And that's when I got my first boots which I absolutely loved and wore until they were falling apart. Over the years, my love affair with boots has grown. While at different stages of my life I preferred different leg-lengths and heel sizes, I can safely say that this is one shoe type that has remained a staple in my closet.
These days I am obsessed with ankle boots. I can't get enough of them. I love them in all colours and styles and were I to give in to the shopaholic in me, I would buy them in all colours and styles. Ankle boots haven't always been the easiest for me to wear. At first I struggled to understand them, to learn how to wear them with anything from skirts to dresses and pants but over the years, and after reading countless fashion blogs, I think I finally understand these shoes.
Below are a few outfit ideas I have loved on how to incorporate ankle boots in your wardrobe.

 1. With a mini dress
I like this outfit for warm days. Ankle boots paired with a short free dress and maybe a light jacket. This is a great outfit for weekends spent doing errands or hanging with the girls.

2. With a maxi dress
Whether your maxi dress has a side slit or not, a pair of ankle boots will be a good change from the usual flats or heels. When worn with maxis, dress or skirt, ankle boots won't bulge from underneath.

3. With tights
This has got to be my go-to cold weather outfit. See I like shorter hemlines and love pairing them with tights when the temperatures drop. This scallopped hem is absolutely gorgeous, no?

4. With cropped pants
I have to say this is one pairing that I have never thought of. I usually like my pants cropped (or folded) when it's warmer but wearing them with ankle boots is sure to be a good experiment.

5. With skinny jeans
If you've been following this blog since it's inception, you will know that this is one of those outfits that I fall back on over and over again. And I learned a nice tutorial on how to wear your jeans or skinny trousers with ankle boots. Check it out:
